Real life exes, onscreen lovers

Who doesn’t love gossip? Here we tell you the latest Bollywood gossip

We loved watching them together, but their love stories failed miserably. Yet, their on-screen value is retained and they still set the screen on fire.

WOMENNOW talks about couples who are now exes but have acted opposite each other.

Deepika Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor

The long-legged beauty and Ranbir Kapoor met on the sets of ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and their love blossomed. However, it ran its course and many were shocked (some overjoyed) on hearing of their break-up. Despite their differences, they worked together for ‘Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani’ and their on-screen chemistry got a ‘thumbs up’ from the audience. The movie was a success and the two might work together once again in Imtiaz Ali’s next venture.

Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif

It is now well-known that they are not together. However, their love saga still makes news. The two ended their long-standing relationship a few years back. Katrina is now dating Ranbir Kapoor and Salman is back in the Hottest Celebrity Bachelors list. The two have worked together in the past but nothing matched the success of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which released post their breakup. They may be seen together again in Sooraj Barjatya’s next project.

Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor is one of the top leading ladies of Bollywood and is enjoying great success, which began with her role in ‘Jab We Met’. She starred opposite Shahid Kapoor, her then beau, whom she reportedly dumped while working on another project opposite Saif Ali Khan. She has worked with Shahid in many movies but it was ‘Jab We Met’, which released post their breakup that got her great success. The two haven’t worked together since and it’s unlikely we’ll see them together again. Word has it that Shahid has turned down a project by Karan Johar as it had Kareena in the lead.
