Find inspiration and create a vision board

There are multiple places from where you can take inspirations or ideas. But stick to only 5 places (max) whether it is some megazine or Pinterest or Instagram and start researching. What I did for my wedding was I used to select some designs that are practical in my budget. I used to create multiple boards on Pinterest to keep everything at place. You can do that too. After all Pinterest is the go-to site for every female.

Find a wedding planning book

So what if you don’t have a wedding planner? A wedding planning book is the next best thing you can get yourself. These books can help you with some expert advices, tips and checklists too. So to-be bride, if wedding planning interests you, get yourself one of these books and you will definitely thank me later.

Keep yourself organized

Create checklists, make spreadsheet, word or anything but make sure your thoughts are organized at one place. Be sure of what you want and stick to it. You don’t want to keep changing your plans at the last minute because you changed your mood, right?

Create a wedding website

A wedding card has only limited space, right? So for all the queries of your friends and relatives, why not create a wedding website? Trust me  girls, it will save you big time. Without a wedding website in place, I was tired of answering the same queries like how we met, when did he propose, etc again and again.

Select a wedding theme

Theme based weddings are quite popular nowadays, also it makes your wedding a special one. Sit with your fiance and based on your choices, you can go with a theme,  (like specific colored one or beach style or royal one). Settling for a theme will make your other tasks much simpler.

Choose on-site wedding

An off-site wedding is one in which you need to bring everything yourself. These kind of weddings happen in parks, beaches, etc. But if you are planning your own wedding, it’s best to go for an on-site wedding where everything is already at its place. These types of weddings are held in hotels, community halls, and make your work very simpler.

Create guest list

Yes, wedding is a big affair for you but you can’t invite every single person in your wedding. This is the most important part of your wedding planning journey. Invite only close people to your wedding and you would enjoy an intimate affair. Making a too long list of guests is only going to add stress in your journey.

Talk to other married friends

Have you recently attended a wedding you really loved? Talk to the couple. Trust me, they are the people who are going to give you the most important tips and advices.

 Outsource, outsource, outsource!

No matter how much you want to make your wedding an unforgettable affair, you can’t do everything on your own. There are your friends, family and especially fiance who would love to assist you. So make a list of tasks and delegate them to right people. It will take off your load.

Don’t forget to say thanks

Lastly, don’t forget to say thanks to everyone who has been part of your wedding journey. You can arrange small gifts or even a thank you card or some sweets to express your gratitude.

Wedding is a big deal, it’s once in a lifetime event. So girls, while you are  busy making all plans, don’t forget to have fun and create memories. 🙂
