Kareena Kapoor was born on September 21, 1980 in the home of Babita and Randhir Kapoor. She belongs to a family that has produced versatile artists and actors for generations. As a child, she studied in the Jamnabi Narsee School in Mumbai and later on she was enrolled in Wellham Girls Boarding School. She moved to Harvard University to take a short course of three months in Information technology and Microcomputers. After returning to India, she joined the Government Law College but left it after a year and joined Acting school. Her film debut was in the year 2000, in a movie Refugee with Amitabh Bachan’s son Abhishek Bachan. She won awards from famous movies for best the performance in Refugee, Lajjo, Chameli and Omkara. In 2012, she was married to Saif Ali Khan, son of Sharmila Tagore.
After making her debut in Refugee, she recognized herself as a leading actress of Hindi movies such as Asoka and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum. After getting success in the beginning, she faced a series of commercial failures and dull roles. The reviews about Kareena were negative.
