The youngest of Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and yester year actor Sharmila Tagore’s daughter actor Soha Ali Khan Pataudi tied the nuptial knot with her longtime boyfriend actor Kunal Khemu on 25th of January 2015. The Royal Family had come together to witness the wedding of the youngest Pataudi with not much of a pomp and show. The marriage was a low key affair with some close relatives and friends of both the family.
The Couple Met
According to the couple they didn’t impress each other at their first meeting, Soha being an Oxford Graduate and Kunal an aspiring actor in the industry didn’t seem to be a prospect for both of them. Initially they met in the sets of the movie “Dhoondte Reh Jaoge”.
Kunal Popped the Question
Kunal went down to propose Soha in Paris around 2014 and she nodded to his proposal with a yes. Soha was excited as she confirmed about the proposal in a social networking site.
Wedding Ceremony
The highlight of the ceremony was its simplicity, from the invitation card the whole ceremony, every bit of it was simple. The invitation card was a mix of gold and pink with a golden bow horizontally attached to it, the card had small pink flowers and golden leaves beautifully scattered all over the card and a laced love sign proudly pronounced the name of the two couples.
This simple celebration had all the ingredients of a big fat Indian wedding ranging from bachelorette, mehendi, wedding to reception concluding the royal affair.
Pre-Wedding Celebration
- Bachelorette party had all of Soha’s close friends around presenting her a memorable day for the rest of her life, her bachelorette party included some of her close pals from the industry including, Konkana Sen Sharma, Sandhya Mridul and Neha Dhupia, she even posted a picture with her friends in a social networking site. She looked graceful with sash and tiara presented by her friends which she showed off in style.
- Mehendi was also a low-key affair with few of her close friends and family, it also had some of industry’s diva. Soha wore a pink and golden attire by Ritu Kumar with minimal jewelry and makeup making her look ever stunning. Even her star family kept their attire simple just like the bride-to-be.
Wedding
The nuptials was the simplest of the lot which only had the couple’s close family and was finalized with official signing in front of the registrar. Soha and Kunal kept their wedding look more or less similar as both wore a combination of white and golden color, Soha wore a golden lehenga and orange Dupatta followed with traditional jewelery like a Muslim bride, soha’s entire look complimented to that of Kaunal’s who wore a Golden Sherwani paired with a silk safa.
Reception
This ceremony was a star-studded one, Soha wore a gold and hot pink lehenga which matched her jewelry and Kunal wore a light blue short kurta teamed with a black Nehru Jacket, white trousers and pocket square matching with that of Soha’s hot pink Lehenga. Soha’s Sister-in-law and Brother Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan Pataudi too looked dazzling all through the wedding functions.
The couple is yet to go for their Honeymoon trip and are not in a rush to do so, just like they gave their relationship the much needed time before tying the nuptial knot, seems like they want to take time before their honeymoon trip.
