Top five most beautiful places in India

The country stretches from the gigantic mountains of Himalayas to the sacred Ganges River and from tropical greenery of Kerala to the dunes of the Thar Desert. The population of India is more than 1 billion. All of them belong to different ethnic groups that speak more than 200 different languages. The long stretched India comprises of beautiful landscapes, cultures, monuments and other places to explore. The ruins of the past, religious, Mughal monuments, and diverse topography attracts number of visitors around the world. Here are some of the most attractive places to visit in India.

The Taj Mahal Agra

Built by the great Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, this monument is located in Agra made of white marble built between 1632-1653. The Mughal emperor in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz, built the monument, which is called a teardrop on the cheek of eternity. The construction of Taj Mahal is one of the masterpieces of architecture and it is an eternal attraction for tourists. There are some other great buildings, behind this Mausoleum. There are high buildings, reflecting pools and gardens that flourish with flowers. Different types of tall trees and bushes can be seen behind this Mahal.

Varanasi  

Located on the bank of River Ganges, Varanasi is one of the most sacred place for Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. It is also one of the oldest and well-populated cities in the world. The place is the best and the worst picture of India that can be overwhelming for the tourists. There is a nonstop crowd of people who perform religious activities and wash their sins in the river. It may be somewhat different and taboo for people. Old Temple is the impressive sight for tourists that must be seen.

The Ajanta Cave

Ajanta cave is one of the most attractive places to visit. A rock cut cave monument lasts from 2nd Century BC. The marvelous Ajanta caves were reckless around 650 AD and were never seen until 1819 when a British party came upon them. The separation backed to the fine state of protection in which some of the paintings still exist. The preserved paintings show everything from sailing ships to battlefield and animal filled forest to the snow covered mountains. The city of Aurangabad is the doorway to the Ajanta caves and is an outstanding place to visit.

Situated in Rajasthan’s remote western corner that is close to Pakistani border, Jaisalmer is the typical dessert town. The yellow sandstone walls of the Golden City escalate from the Thar Desert presenting the view of Arabian Nights. The Jaisalmer is a good place for tourists. However, due to negligence of government and administrators have dampened the romantic view of the Jaisalmer. The sight is still worth seeing and one of the most attractive places in India.

The Harmandir Sahib

The place is well known by the Golden Temple, which is located in Amritsar. It is one of the religious places for Sikhs and major tourist attractions. Guru Ramdas started the construction in 16th century. In the 19th century, Guru Ramdas constructed the upper floors of the temple that were covered with gold.  It is a wonderful temple and thousands of pilgrims from India visit this place for religious rituals.
