7 Things mothers should teach their daughters about boys!

As young girls we realize that boys are different to us. They look different, act and behave a bit differently too. But what drives this difference and how do we intermingle with a group of people who are quite unlike us? – is what mothers should talk about with their daughters, as they mature.

BOYS ARE A DIFFERENT BREED ALTOGETHER

One of my guy friends constantly emphasises on the statement that “men are from Mars and women are from Venus” to effectually explain the vast difference. We are like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle which even though do not equate each other, perfectly fit when placed next to each other.

THEY USUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY WANT AND ARE EASIER TO READ THAN GIRLS

Boys are as beautiful a being as girls are, but like I mentioned earlier they are just different to us. Their minds almost always function in a very noncomplex manner so that they are mostly thinking straight and speaking their minds out. We girls don’t usually speak our minds out but desire to be understood, and because we are intuitive, we also tend to over-think, over-analyse and end up coming out as complex.

THEY ARE NOT AS INTUITIVE AS GIRLS AND CAN’T READ MINDS

Boys can’t read minds. So it is futile to expect them to understand what exactly is wrong when you stop talking to them.

We are more sensitive than boys are and are also equipped with the power of intuition. Use this to your advantage; forgive them their incapacities and accept the given.

THEY CAN BE WONDERFUL FRIENDS TO GIRLS

It is true that boys make better friends, than our fellow girlfriends do, because there is no place for competition between you and your guy friend. There can only be a loving bond in which you share with and impart happiness to one another.

Also, guy friends can be really protective about you, just as a brother would be to his sister.

THEY MATURE AT A SLOWER PACE TO GIRLS

Generally boys remain immature for a longer period than girls. Both their physical and psychological maturity is reached at a later age to that of girls. So it is natural to not have them relate to you the way you want them to when you’re friends with a boy who is of the same age as you, especially when none of you have reached your adulthood as yet.

THEY ARE EXTREMELY CLOSE TO THEIR MOMMIES

Boys are generally very close to their mothers just as most girls are closer to their dads.

Some boys are close to an extent where they often get biased in support of their mothers even if she isn’t right in her place. Most boys are overly sensitive to their relationship with their mothers.

THEY MIGHT STALK YOU BOTH WHEN AND WHEN NOT THEY’RE IN LOVE

Boys will find you attractive and stalk you even if they aren’t interested to get into a serious relationship with you. There is always a curiosity to knowing about and uncovering the ways of the opposite sex, which indefinitely will always pull us towards it, and more so as we grow older and the desire to know becomes stronger.

It is always a good idea to let your girl learn to discover herself and her peers (including those of the opposite gender) on her own, independently, without any sort of influence from either of the parents. But it is also equally important that mothers share their knowledge and experiences with their little girls, which shall function as a guide to their judgements about life and the people surrounding them.
