Dear beauty addicts, let me tell you something straight off! Hair is the crowning glory for your looks. Long and healthy hair makes you look more feminine and gorgeous. Hair grows quarter to half an inch a month, but we have ways to increase that limit, don’t we? Grow your hair naturally !Follow these simple yet guaranteed steps and make heads turn around with your long, thick and lustrous hair!

Drink ample of water: Keeping you hair hydrated 24 by 7 is more important than styling it. You should drink at least eight glasses of water everyday. It helps you get rid of the harmful toxins that is clinging to your hair and scalp. Dehydration will lead to dry and frizzy hair which are prone to breakage. So don’t just carry a bottle of water with you but keep consuming it.

Avoid heating your hair: Using flat iron, straightener, curler, blow dryer etc. will torture your hair in ways unimaginable. Your hair is getting BURNED!! It steals away all the luster of your hair making it look dry and brittle. Protect your hair like your skin. If you desperately want to heat-style your hair, use a heat protectant. It is equivalent to a sunscreen, so you don’t have to worry about your hair being damaged. Avoid getting your hair fried as much as you can!

Trim regularly: Myth has it that trimming/cutting hair will not let it grow faster but the fact is your hair will grow even faster! Get rid of those nasty split-ends by trimming hair an inch a month. Hair will be less likely to break and it will definitely improve your looks.

Brushing with caution: Always brush your hair from bottom up. This will detangle the knots at the bottom and loosen up strands at the top. Use a broad toothed wooden comb/brush as a detangler. Do not brush wet hair, they are more likely to come off along with the comb. Brushing hair twice a day stimulates growth. Never brush aggressively.

Avoid tight ponytails: Wrapping a hair tie too tight results in hair thinning. Keep your hair loose and avoid the urge of keeping it braided tightly. Do not put wet hair in a bun or a ponytail.

Use a conditioner along with a shampoo: That’s right! Conditioning hair is more important than shampooing it. Use a mild shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo 2-3 times a week. The secret to glossy and shiny hair is a conditioner. Make sure you don’t condition you scalp. Apply conditioner 2-3 inches away from your scalp, you can use homemade conditioners such as egg, yoghurt, honey, Apple cedar etc.
