Born on 11th May 1970, Pooja Bedi is a child of renowned parents, Gauri and KabirBedi. She endured adversities in 1997, at the age of 27. Her brother committed suicide and her mother was killed in a pilgrimage to Himalayas a year later. She has penned down a book in her mom’s memory, titled, “Timepass” which was seen at book stands in the column of Top 10 National Bestsellers.
Pooja Bedi’s Bollywood career took root in 1991 and continued till 1995. She had done many commercials and was a part of campaigns including HIV/AIDS awareness campaign, Kamasutra condoms campaign and breast cancer awareness. She also took part in reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Nach Baliye, Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss. She married Guetta Ebrahim Furniturewalla in 1994. She has a beautiful daughter Alia born in 1997 and Omar born in 2000. She was divorced in 2003.
Currently, she writes “Heart Chakra,” a column which revolves around relationship counselling for Times of India. She also writes a column for Femina and a magazine ‘Men’s Health.’
