Face challenges head-on!

Don’t handicap yourself by making your life easier. There’s no man in this world who doesn’t face challenges. Challenges are for the brave and those who can tackle them become successful. Challenges makes our life interesting. It makes us stronger than we ever believed ourselves to be. And when you successfully come out of your problem, you are going to find eternal happiness. Running away from problems only increases your distance from the solution.

So here are some tips that will keep you firm and strong headed when challenges are thrown your way.

  • Accept the challenge

The first step in overcoming a problem is accepting you have one. Once you accept your problem, your determination to face it increases. You start evaluating, finding alternatives and planning. Challenges are a part of life and if there weren’t any, life would have been colorless. Always remember, difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.

  • Change your perception

Every challenge, huge or minor, is temporary. They have to pass and they do pass irrespective of the course of action you take. Engrave this idea firmly in your mind – Life’s problems are temporary and they are going to pass. Stars cannot shine without darkness. Problems become difficult or easy based on your perception towards it. So make sure you have a positive attitude.

  • Look at the good things in life

In other words, be grateful for who you are and what you have. There are people praying for things you take for granted. When problems occur, our focus is only on the bad things and how they are distressing us. But have you ever thought about all the wonderful things in your life? Like you have your friends and family to support you, you have a beautiful house, you have good clothes to wear and you have variety of food to sustain you. Many people, are out there who are so happy without these basic things. Look at them and try to learn from them.

  • Have faith

Some Problems leave us broken. You stop believing in your abilities and decision making. Have faith in yourself and remember, challenges are going to make you stronger. If you cry and stress over it, you’re losing strength. Strength doesn’t come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming what you think you can’t do! It will take time, effort, sweat and tears but you gotta go through it. You have to!

  • Don’t give up!

Embrace your journey. Reflect on how far you have come. Embrace your fear. Embrace your sadness. Only then will you learn. Only then will you move forward. Listen to music. It will make you feel powerful and strong. Remember “Hall of Fame” by The Script? Let me sing a few lines for you :

“You can go the distance
You can run the mile
You can walk straight through hell with a smile

You can be the hero
You can get the gold
Breaking all the records they thought never could be broke

Yeah, do it for your people
Do it for your pride
How are you ever gonna know if you never even try?”

Doesn’t it pump energy and power in you? Even if it’s the most fragile thing, hold on to whatever you can.

I’d like to end up by saying, “The bigger the challenge, the bigger the opportunity.” Look at your challenges and problems like your teachers. They will guide you and build you into a competent person. You’re not the cause of a situation but you can make the situation the cause of your growth. They will define you so know how you will sail your ship in storm. No one can stop you except yourself!
